A glance at the motorcycle test structure can send a shiver down the spine of even the most clued up rider. In recent years the structure of motorcycle training and tests has changed considerably. Don't be put off. All the changes mean you can now choose the type of bike you want to ride and tailor the training to suit your needs.

So if this is the year for you to get on (or back on) a motorbike, here is a list of the different types of courses which will explain exactly which one applies to you.

Compulsory Basic Training

125 rider

This is the first step on a path which could change your life. Motorcycling is fun, exhilarating, liberating and makes great financial sense. Restricted & 17 year olds

125 rider

There are two test categories in this section depending on what size of bike you want to ride. If you just want to ride around on a 125cc bike then you take the category A1 test for a Light Motorcycle Licence. This licence will enable you to ride any bike up to 125cc and 11Kw and carry a passenger.

Direct Access (DAS) Mod 1 & Mod 2

This is the best bit. CBT and Theory Test in the bag. Now you can get your hands on one of our 500cc motorcycles.

As with all previous training, working with no more than two to one pupil/instructor ratio and, of course, in constant radio contact, your riding skills are monitored, developed and discussed throughout the days...read on.
