One of the greatest advantages of being over 21 is that you are eligible for the DAS. Skillfully riding a medium or large capacity motorcycle is one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences.
Comments most often made regarding the subject centre around "simply the best thing I ever did." This is understandable because for the price of an old second hand car, a lifetime of adventure and possibility awaits you. The Direct Access Scheme enables you ride any bike without first having to take the lower type tests and waiting two years, as long as you are over 21 years of course.
The Direct Access Scheme will usually last approximately 4 days. Here at Easy Rider we will assess you as an individual to see how much, or how little, training you will need. What we won't do is to guarantee a set time it will take you to train for your test, Equally, we never recommend further training if you do not need it. Usually we recommend that you book 4 days but after the first day if we feel you are capable we will reduce the amount of days you originally booked to train, and of course refund you the difference.
When you first contact Easy Rider with a view to taking your Direct Access the first thing we do is to ask you is to call in and see us for a no obligation, cost free, assessment. Of course, you will already have your CBT so the chances are we will already know you and be aware of your riding ability, but if you have taken your CBT with another training school we will need to see how capable you are at riding a motorbike. We will put you on a 125cc bike and assess how experienced you are, off road in the safe environment or our training site, so we can tailor the training to suit your capabilities. If your CBT was taken a while ago the chances are you may be a bit rusty.
When you are an adult, training of any type can seem daunting, but here at Easy Rider the training experience is so enjoyable and relaxed that you will soon forget that you are being trained. But don't worry its not so relaxed that we compromise your safety. We train you at your own pace with no pressure.
