This is the best bit. CBT and Theory Test in the bag. Now you can get your hands on one of our 500cc motorcycles.

After reacquainting yourself with the on-site manoeuvres mastered during your CBT, it will be time to head out on the road.

As with all previous training, working with no more than two to one pupil/instructor ratio and, of course, in constant radio contact, your riding skills are monitored, developed and discussed throughout the days.

As you may be aware the Motorcycle Test has now been divided into two parts. At Easy Rider we equip you with the skills to excel in both sections referred to as Module 1 and Module 2.

Module 1

Module 1 is an off road test designed to assess your machine control in specific scenarios.

Here at Easy Rider's premises (the largest motorcycle training centre in Derby) we have the facilities to perfect all of these manouvres in an environment closely matching your test scenario. With the help of our friendly instructors you will rapidly gain confidence in yourself and your machine to enable you to master these necessary skills.

Module 2

Module 2 training consists of on-road experience riding together, either following by example or being observed by the instructor you will begin to ride not as a beginner but as a confident safe motorcyclist.

The different road scenarios you will encounter will be explained and clarified building into a pattern for safe riding. Better riding is not about riding slower, but with a confident, calm smoothness, giving you time to react to obstacles, a correct line and road placing around junctions and other traffic, and a conspicuous road presence making other drivers respect you.

At Easy Rider Motorcycle Training great care is taken to team you with another rider with similar ability level (so no worries about finding yourself with a school boy club racer needing to get his road licence,) and a three way discussion will often develop with students and instructor. Usually, a mixture of praise, encouragement and helpful advice enabling you to not only absorb information but gain confidence.

Although enjoyable and exhilarating, handling a medium sized bike (when you are not used to it) whilst concentrating while learning can be tiring. So we take rest conversation breaks throughout the day.

It is at these and over lunch, you will be able to evaluate different aspects of your riding, analyze and solve any problems you may be encountering, relax and have a laugh.
