Motorcycle tests are more varied in structure and complexity to passing, for example, your car test. This is not to say that they are more difficult to pass, in fact it is usually much more enjoyable, but what you do need to know is which tests apply to you.

Theory Test

The Theory Test needs to be taken before your practical tests. It consists of two sections, the theory section and the hazard perception test.

The Theory Test is taken under exam conditions and you are given 57 minutes to complete it and the Hazard Perception Test is taken at the same time as the Theory Test and takes about an extra 15 minutes... read on.

Restricted 125cc Test

The test for the 125cc bikes for both the A1 certificate, and the A2 restricted test consist of the same manoeuvres and Modules.

The difference is the size of bike you ride when taking the tests, and of course, the size of bike you will be qualified to ride once passed...read on.

Direct Access Test

The test for the Direct Access Scheme consist of the same manoeuvres and riding as in the restricted 125cc test.
